we now have some $ in place to make a climbing wall. but we have no gym or indoor place to work so we are contemplating some of the outdoor walls we have to use. one area that is concrete blocks and would be suitable is not secured after hours so if we left the holds in anyone could come and use it/take it off the wall. how hard is it to remove and put in the holds each time you want to use it? thanks

Having to remove holds every day would require a great deal of time on your part. You may want to look into other alternatives. One might be to have an industrial hinged wall that actually closes itself up and can be locked. This wall could essentially have heavy duty wheels under it to support the weight whether in use or not. Just a suggestion, hope it gets your mind spinning with ideas. Feel free to email me if you have any questions Lance (youngl@cwu.edu)

i am a first year teacher of 3-5 graders. i have in my "P.E. Room" (a room that measures @ 50ft x 30 ft with an elevated sealing) i like to think of it as a gym but its hard to w/ 20-25 students. i am looking for information about wall climbing apparatus. my gym walls are cinder block and i want to turn one of the walls into a climbing wall. any ideas where i can get specs on weight restraints for the grips and things of that nature?

dbush71274-
Try sportime or gopher. They have some great new products out i.e. 4x8 sections that you can place on the wall. They also sell these devices that secures a mat to the section for safety considerations.
