Do any of you know of completed research which demonstrates the failure of physical education programs at the middle school level (obviously, not in all programs)? Please advise!

I do not know of any specific studies on your question, but I have been doing a literature search on the "Cultural Roadblocks to Wellness" and in this literature it will speak to the fitness levels of adolesence. I would be happy to hear how your research has developed.
