Adapted - What are some activities that work exceptionally well for specific disabilities? (For example, does wheel-chair basketball work best for students in wheel-chairs? Or is there a certain activity that students with Autism tend to enjoy more than others?) Or, are all activities equally accepted by students with special needs in general? Please answer in the forum.
Coaching - Now with football, golf, cross country, and volleyball ending, basketball starting players are making the shift from football to basketball. Do you believe that athletes should be attending basketball practice and conditioning if they are involved in a spring sport? Should the player be punished because one-sport basketball players are not playing a fall sport and showing up to only basketball practice? Do you think that the coaches should put aside their multi-sport athletes for the lone athletes of their sport? I see a lot of this during football and basketball seasons. What do you think?   Elementary - Elementary school age is so young and impressionable. My hope is to create games that students will want to continue to play outside of the classroom, but I need help on getting started with the list of fun games. What are some games that could involve everyone that would make the students want to go home and continue to play? Please share in the forum.
Health, Fitness & Nutrition - FAKE BABIES: Do you think the sending of fake babies mimicking real babies home with students is a good idea? I took one home and this baby cried forever, but all I had to do was either change its cloth diaper or feed it, and it would stop. The older versions would turn off by the turning of a key. How is that real? I think they are a slight eye opener for students, but they are nothing like a real baby. If only I could turn my nephew off by turning a key... Please share in the forum.
Interdisciplinary - There has been talk about snowboarding in PE, but what about wake boarding and other water sports? Does anyone know of any school that offers any of these, or has there been attempts? Or, is it too much of a liability and risk along with too much trouble with boats, equipment, and other factors that might hinder this type of activity? Please share.
Secondary - In my high school phys. ed. class, we did a lot of co-ed. activities. I remember several of the girls in my class standing around and not being active. When the class wasn't co-ed., these same girls did participate.

I'm looking for suggestions on motivating them to be more active, and to be less intimidated by the boys. Or, is it better to have a second option to the competitive sports games, that would be more suitable for those (boys and girls) who aren't as willing to participate? Please share in the forum.

Technology - In one of my college level courses we are starting to work with pedometers. I have heard of them, seen people wearing them, but I have never used one myself. This being because in my high school PE classes we were stuck in the same routine each year - Basketball, Volleyball, Soccer, Tennis/Softball. Pedometers count "step count," so what I want to know is how would you incorporate pedometers into your classes if you had to stick with that same curriculum that I had in my high school because of limited equipment?
