I'm student teaching in a middle school right now and because of the weather in Chicago my outdoor soccer unit tends to get stuck inside pretty often. We already did indoor soccer, and I'm looking for some fun games to play inside that the students will enjoy while also getting some exercise.

Any ideas? We've done kickball and similar games. Thanks!!

I'd like to know the same thing...we'll do mat ball sometimes, or stations...I haven't found anything the kids greatly enjoy that keeps them moving...stations are good but the kids don't like them all that much. Other ideas, especially for large classes?

We have played a matball game with a twist. We have another line next to the kicking line that has two rows of students. When the ball is kicked all three students run. This lets the students that dont want to kick still be involved in the game as well as gets more students involved. We also play a game called yellow verb ball which is played with a small dodgeball and two hockey goals. We have two teams and if you have the ball you can run with it or pass to a teammate. If someone from the other team tags you, you must stop and set the ball on the ground and kick it. You can score one for throwing it in the goal and two for kicking it in the goal. We also set a goal box to help protect the goalie. If we have lots of students we add two balls and have one girls game and one boys game and it works very well to get the girls involved.
