Does anyone incorporate equine activities at the Middle/High school level? If so or if not, and whether it could be done during an actual PE class session or not, would it be reasonable to attempt to incorporate it even as an extra-curricular activity during after school hours?

Personally, I feel that the equine activities should be done as an extra-curricular activity. It is very hard to incorporate equine skills to a class room because I feel you really need to be around the horse itself. But as an 'after school' activity you might be able to visit a farm with the horses. Riding horses is actually more physical than people think. It is a very good work out and there are students willing to participate after school hours then I would definately pursue it!
