Jose,

I believe you said you were in Portugal in another post?

What do you mean by "special students"? These students are still in what we call high school in the United States? I am not familiar with your educational system.

There are many resources on www.PECentral.com with links to other resources.

Here in the states you would be considered the supervisor of first year teachers.

www.PECentral.com is a good place to start

Check the NASPE-Talk listserv archives http://www.aahperd.org/naspe/template.cfm?template =naspetalk.html

hello!

I will try to explain portuguese educational system.

after nursery school at 6 years old children go to school for the first time.

during 4 year (6-9 years old) they attend o "1șcycle of the basic education"

during 2 year (10-11 years old) they attend o "2șcycle of the basic education"

during 3 year (12-14 years old) they attend o "3șcycle of the basic education". In this moment the compulsory education finish either the "basic education".

at 15 years old they can leave scholl and get a job.

during de next 3 year (15-17 years old) they go to the "secondary scholl". so the scholl is finishing and they go to the university.

If I go to a physical education college I need to study more 5 years. In the fifth year I make a stage (first year teacher)in a school for 9 months and receive my degree.

paula, thank you for your help
