In high school I was graded on whether or not I dressed for class each day. As a future Physical Education teacher this single way of assessment seems unreasonable. I was curious to see how others assess or were assessed in a high school setting?

Bryan - Our High School grading system is very complex and is completely linked to the New York State Learning Standards. Basically, it is broken down into the categories of Skill, Strategy and Implementation of Skill, Participation/social Responsibility and Cognitive knowledge. The complete system (which is too long to write in this forum) is on our website - www.brockportpe.org - Click on the High School Link, and then the grading link! Hope this helps.
