In class, we've been going over how Title IX affects Physical Education. The main point that is brought up during this discussion is whether or not classes should be divided between males and females when playing contact sports? I was interested in finding out others opinion on this subject.

We have discussed this topic as well in class. I believe that the classes should not be divided when playing contact sports. If the teacher keeps control of the class and makes it evident that there is such a thing as unnecessary contact, then there should not be a problem with allowing the males and females to play together. In school we played contact sports with males and females in the same class and did not have a problem. I hope this helps you.
