I am a newly certified CPR instructor in Lay Responder and Professional Rescuer. I am going to teach a First Aid class to my 9th graders for field, but am a confused on which topic to teach them. In the classes we are to teach lay responders CPR but not Rescue Breathing. But when I talked to my co-op she said said to teach rescue breathing and it evens states rescue breathing in the PA state standards. So I was wondering should I still teach my students Rescue breathing if the American Red Cross says not to?
