When I am done at Slippery Rock University in PA I will have my teaching certification for Pennsylvania. I will then be moving to Oklahoma City Oklahoma and I don't know if I will need to take the certification test for that state or if my PA certification will be okay? If you know anything about teaching in another state I would really appreciate it because I will probably be teaching in other states too because my fiancée is in the military and we will be moving around for his job. |

I am a sophomore at Slippery Rock and I live in New York. I know that if I want to teach in N.Y that I am going to need to take a different certification test. Every state is different and it is something that you will need to check into through the state. I know with a PA certificate that it works for a bunch of states but there are still some that it will not transfer too. I have tried looking online to see if I could find a list of states but I do not know where to look. I am sure we can ask the department here and they will have information on certifications. |

Being a PE major at Slippery Rock i know i will be certified to teach in the state of Pennsylvania. I was wondering what other states a PA PE teachers degree is good in? If its not good in certain states what kind of process would i have to go through to become eligible to teach in that state, and how elaborate/costly would that process be? |
