When I graduate from Slippery Rock University, I am going to hold my undergraduate degree in both Health and Physical Education. I want to become an Elementary Physical Education teacher, however, I also know that there are no seperate health classes at that level. My question is if I had an elementary position, are there school districts that would bring me up to the high school or middle school level just to teach a Health class or two during the day? If not, do you think having that extra health certification will at least be helpful and put me above the rest while seeking an elementary position? Maybe the future is even moving towards starting health classes at the elementary age. If so, that would be great!
