We invite the National, State, and District associations to recommend this special program to their members who may be interested in pursuing a leadership role in their association in the near future. Enrollment for this program is limited to 30 participants. The Emerging Leaders will participate in the Advocacy sessions on Wednesday, June 17, and visit their Congressional representatives on Thursday, June 18. The dedicated program for the Emerging Leaders on Friday and Saturday morning will include sessions on: • Orientation to the Alliance—"How to Progress Up the Leadership Chain" • Leadership Styles • Running Successful Meetings—Planning Agendas, Parliamentary Procedure There will be many opportunities throughout the weekend for networking and sharing with the Presidents-elect and Executive Directors of the state associations. It is our goal that at the end of the LDC 2009 weekend the participants of this special program will be enthusiastic about sharing their talent and energy with the members of their association in a leadership position. They will have a better understanding of the different leadership opportunities that are available to them. The registration fee for the Forum is $230 for members, and the registration deadline is May 13, 2009.
