America’s most decorated gymnast, Shannon Miller, will be honored as a NASPE Hall of Fame recipient on Friday, March 19.
As you may remember, Shannon was a member of the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain and the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta. She has 7 Olympic medals: 2 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze as well as many other international medals.
Shannon holds a law degree from Boston College Law School, founded the Shannon Miller Foundation dedicated to fighting childhood obesity, is Co-Chair of the Florida Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and was appointed to the Florida Sports Foundation by Florida Governor Charlie Crist. She and her husband recently celebrated the birth of their first child.
