I think the use of video cameras in PE is a great tool to use for the students to learn about how and why their bodies move. Students can film or record one another and then critique each other. They can alos compare their movements to that of a professional athlete in the corresponding sport or event. By doing this studetns may begin to understand why we do the things we do and why they are important. In the end the students may also keep their videos of themselves.

The technology that is available at a reasonable cost makes providing video feedback an easy task for all teachers to use. I just purchase an Iflip video recorder. For under $100, I can record and have instant playback for student viewing. I can also easily save and compile clips of skills as they are being performed!
