How do you do fitness testing - Fitnessgram? Presidential? other? How do you record your scores. Our program seems to not work just thinking about changing.

Several school districts are using FitStats Web to record scores and print reports. Check www.fitstatsweb.com for more information.

This system includes a standardized test batterie and standards but allow you to use Fitnessgram's, Presidential or your own.

I use Fitnessgram. This is the only assessment that I have a background in from my undergraduate experience. It has worked so far and the school board was impressed with the results and it has added much value to how they view our program. I record scores on a sheet and then put them into the software which creates reports.

www.fitnessgram.net is the site for more information.

Hope this helps. I wasn't sure what you are already using :-)

We also learn how to do fitness tests with Fitnessgram. When learning how to use it we had to participate in the tests. THey are basic, to the point, but challeging at the same time. I think is great because you can use it for pre testing and post testing at the end of the unit or school year. Be sure to teach the students the correct form of each test before testing them. Maybe even give them a day just for partice.

When i was in school, we used the presidential physical fitness test. I don't think I want to use it again because there is a lot of down time and students seemed to just dread it. I've never heard of Fitnessgram but after checking out the site, it sounds like a decent program. Goodluck!
