I am currently a PE major yet have not received much input regarding actual current implementation of inclusion guidelines in public schools. To what degree are physical educators required to adjust their programs to fit the needs of a student w/ a disability?

my understanding is that is a decision that is made during an IEP meeting. the teacher of record,(usually a spec ed teacher) and the rest of the group decide what is needed and will be carried out. sometimes the p.e., art, etc., teachers aren't even invited to the meetings, we are just asked to sign off that we will do what the IEP says.

Typically we are not invited to the meetings which I feel we shoiuld be since we work with these students. At my last school we had a web based inphut called spedweb which hlet each teacher put in all the input they thought would help for each students progress to get tested for special ed, but after they are in it, we dont have input, that stinks.
