I don't know whether I should go on and just get a masters degree in student affairs and higher education while I can get it for almost free with a paid for live in graduate assistantship (WHILE SUBSTITUTE TEACHING) Is it worth getting a masters degree right out of college when we have to continue our education as a teacher EVEN if we have a masters degree?

In most states your starting salary will be higher because you already have a masters degree if you are starting out new. Otherwise you will get a lower salary until you complete your masters. Just something to think about...
