Health Behavior Research & Evaluation The School of Behavioral and Organizational Sciences at Claremont Graduate University is pleased to announce a new program in Health Behavior Research and Evaluation. The program is the most recent addition to our M.A. Co-Concentration in Evaluation. Graduates from the program will be trained for employment in a variety of settings, including faculty positions in academia, research scientist positions in professional organizations, and consulting positions in health organizations. The Health Behavior Research and Evaluation program has three main areas of emphasis: the study of determinants and interventions addressing health behavior, development of expertise in program evaluation, and a solid foundation in behavioral science research methods. Due largely to the increasing recognition that the major causes of diseases resulting in human illness and death are behavioral and preventable, there now is strong demand for behavioral scientists capable of conducting rigorous applied research and evaluation in a wide variety of career settings. The graduate program in Health Behavior Research seeks students committed to learning how to apply psychological science and evaluation to promote health and prevent disease, and to improve public health in diverse and global communities.
