I am a sophomore this year and have just completed all of my liberal studies courses and it got me thinking. Nobody on campus is required to take physical education courses, yet, I am required to take biology and history. Why should we stop enforcing physical education after high school? Does anyone know of any colleges that do require their students to take physical education classes as part of their liberal studies program? |

Unfortunately this is true about most colleges and universities, but I do know of a college that makes all their students take some sort of physical education class for part of their studies. At Bethany College, all their students must take a physical education class as part of their liberal courses. They can choose from many different classes including bowling, raquetball, swimming, and even yoga. I do agree that all schools should follow this curriculum with all their students. |
