Should College students be required to take PE classes? I know some colleges do, but I feel that all colleges should make it mandatory to take a PE class that shows the benefits of being physically fit. |

When I attended Bridgewater State College in Massachusetts, the school was on the verge of approving a mandatory health and wellness "General Education" class for all students. Almost all colleges require knowledge about social and physical sciences, arts, and history regardless of study, but clearly a more practical one would be a health and wellness course. It seems that there are more physical education majors that accept liberal studies as necessary than non-physical education majors that accept a human body and health study as a necessity. I agree that all colleges should require some sort of a PE course. |

I think that a PE class each semester should be required for all colleges and universities in the United States. By the time kids reach college, their levels of activity decrease and being overweight and obese increase. If they had a class each semester, they will be getting physical activity, which is better then no activity at all. |
