Our website is looking for feedback. supportREALteachers.org is the new updated CASPER website that has content (includingvideos and downloadables) for teachers, parents, administrators, and PETE programs. Topics include: importance of quality physical education, how to evaluate a program, effective teaching strategies, icebreaker and teambuilding activities, instructional dance, web resources, fitness, teaching tools, and more.

Our goal is to advocate for quality physical education and to provide resources to help achieve this goal. Our efforts are based on National Association for Sport and Physical Education standards; the guidelines for physical education published by the American Heart Association, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the American Academy of Pediatrics; and the extensive body of research on effective teaching in physical education and exercise’s effect on the mind and body.

As a student, I found supportREALteachers.org very useful. The "fitness principles" page is very specific and detailed. It helps not only college students, but also middle and high school students who may be learning about BMI, heart rate monitors, or muscular endurance/strength in class. I also believe it is very beneficial to all physical education advocates to have the collection of resources under "What Research Says About Physical Education, Physical Activity, and Academic Achievement." In the future, we may find ourselves in situations where we have to prove to the school board or superintendent why a quality PE program is crucial. I believe this organization is very important!
