This spring will be the first time I have coached softball. I have played softball for many years. I was just wondering if any can help me out. I need some good ideas for softball drills and warm-ups. Any advice and ideas would be helpful thanks.

I would make sure that you plan to maximize your practice time. If your goal is to work on hitting, please dont have one person hitting while 17 shag balls. Do a variety of drills relating to hitting, top hand swing, bottom hand swing, both hands soft toss. Try to buy a zip and hit, and use that. Have a bunting station, the more you can maximize practice time, the more you will see your students work hard during practice. As for warm-ups, try to make your warm-up consistent with what you are going to work on. Teach them to throw properly by isolating parts to the throw, one on knee, no stride, edtc.
