How important is it for a team to bond? When is there too much? How do you prevent teams from getting so close that they goof off at practice and see the sport as a basis for sharing new gossip and making plans for the night/weekend? What can you do as a coach when this happens and a handful of players are left out?

I think that it is important for a team to bond. I don't know if there can ever be to much, because the more you bond the better the relationships will be on your team.

I think it is important to have team bonding. When I Played soccer in highschool my coach would take us camping for a weekend before the season started to allow us to get to know each other. I also had great expeirences and i felt a stronger bond with my teammates during our season.

Team bonding is very important for and team sport. You feel more comfortable during practice, game play, and traveling with the team. The coach has to make it a point that there is no goofing off at practice.
