In my high school there were two different types of teams in high school. The ones that were very selective and cut the majority of the tryouts, but those that made the team got most if not all the paying time. And then there were those that made no cuts, but those who were not the best barely got any playing time. Is one method better than the other? OR Is there a better method out there when it comes to making a team roster.

I think that making cuts on a varsity team is better because varsity athletics are very competitive. Although I feel that at the junior varsity level, they should not cut players.
