For the past six years, I have been running a summer ice hockey goaltending camp. Each year, parents ask if we provide a "report card" on their child at the end of the week indicating their strengths and weaknesses. We tried this for one summer but felt it went against our ideas. We feel much better sitting down face to face with the students if they want additional feedback. I guess it's the idea that you have something tangible at the end of the week to look back on. Has anyone found a useful application of a "report card" for a sport camp that is beneficial for everyone involved?

Whenever I went to basketball camp at Clarion the campers would all recieve a report card at the end of the week, I found it interesting to see what a expierenced player thought was good about my game or what needed work.

Thanks for the feedback. Students do look to instructors or experienced players for their opinion on their own technique. Maybe we will need to reconsider using the report cards.
