NASPE will present the 2009 National Physical Education Teacher Education Conference on October 7-10, at the Myrtle Beach Hilton Resort, in Myrtle Beach, SC. This conference is sponsored by POLAR and supported by Southern District AAHPERD and South Carolina AHPERD. The Conference is held every three years primarily for university faculty, researchers, and graduate students in the field of physical education teacher education. The opening evening Keynote will be delivered by Dr. Russ Pate, University of South Carolina. On Wednesday, Oct 7, the conference will feature three pre-conference workshops: 1) Initial PETE Standards and NCATE Electronic Portfolio Preparation Workshop 2) Integrating Physical Best Into PETE Curriculums 3) Using Technology in Physical Education Teacher Education These workshops have a minimum enrollment so register early for these.
