Punt, Pass, & Kick is always a fun way to test strength, but there are fun ways to modify it! Divide up the students into different section by choice of objects thrown, passed or kicked. This way everyone can choose and object that they feel comfortable with. After the students use their choice of equipment, have them go and test their skills with other equipment. This way they don't feel discouraged competing against the students who play football, baseball, or soccer. Some of the objects you can use are soccer balls, baseballs, basketballs, footballs, frisbees, tennis balls, lacrosse balls, golf balls, dodge balls etc... You can also have two hand throws or passes with some objects, and with objects like the frisbee, you can also change the types of throws, like a back hand throw, a forehand throw, or even a hammer throw. This way you can have more sections for the students to compete in. There are many different sections that you could create, and this way, everyone will be able to try a different object, or different type of throw, without being felt like they have no chance with one object. This will hopefully raise the student’s confidence levels, and will give everyone a chance to have fun with different objects and to tryout some new types of throws.

This is a great concept. I love the idea of having choices for students. Many times students struggle leaving their comfort zone to try new skills. This is a super way for students to work on throwing mechanics without fear of using an object that they are not comfortable using. Very creative!

This is a very creative idea! Its a great way to incorporate students with different skill levels and who are involved in different sports. Sometimes too many choices are confusing for students, but the amount of choices in this event can be infinite. I do agree with you that this will raise the students confidence levels and it will also create a great comfort zone for students to try new things.
