I am a junior in college and I am taking dance fundamentals course. I was unsure of how exciting this class would be but my professor teaches the class well and actually makes it fun to learn simple dance routines. It is also a great cardio workout if done appropriately. Would a dance lesson in a physical education class bring interest in students?

Yes, it would be appropriate to teach this in the classroom. I am taking a dance fundamentals course as well right now, and our professor actually goes out to the schools and helps the PE teachers create dance lesson plans for their classrooms. Many of the student teachers also have to have at least one fance lesson plan to teach during their time in student teaching. With the right music and the right atmosphere present in the classroom it would be a great way to give the kids a cardio workout!
