In 1996 – 15 years ago – several leading figures in physical education were interviewed and as part of this interview were asked questions about the purpose of physical education and what they thought would happen in the future. These individuals had no preparation for the interview and no idea of the questions that were about to be asked them. It’s important to keep this in mind because who knows what they might have said had they had more time to think or reflect. But keeping this in mind it’s interesting to hear their perceptions of physical education 15 years ago and gives us an opportunity to reflect on the ways that physical education has or has not changed since then. The movie is 17 minute and 43 seconds and located here: http://www.cwu.edu/~mtis/inst_videos/hhpn/pe_interviews.ram
To play this video you will need to have “Real Player” installed on your computer and you may need to have it as your default viewer. Be sure to practice on the computer you plan to use for your presentation before the day of your forum. You can download a free copy of Real Player here: http://www.real.com/
