I was looking into starting a netball unit in my PE classes, but was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to put together my own netball hoops/goals. To buy the netball pole and hoop sets is very expensive. We already have many volleyball pole/standards and was wondering if anyone has tried using the volleyball poles and making hoops out of something else or buying hoops separately that can be clamped onto volleyball poles. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have not tried to put my own together but have made soccer goals with PVC pipe that you can find at a place like Home Depot or Lowes. You might want to go with a larger pipe diameter (like 1") because I used the smaller diameter pipe for things like hurdles and they broke very easily.

My soccer goals are 4x4s in the ground with 3-4 inch PVC as the cross bar. Have worked well for 20 years. Made the hurdles out of 1.5" pvc and they did pretty good.
