The final announcement and Call for Abstracts for the AIESEP World Congress has been posted. The conference is in Jyvaskyla, Finland July 5-8, 2006. The title of the conference is "The Role of Physical Education and Sport in Promoting Physical Activity and Health." The deadline for abstracts is January 15, 2006.
Dr. Catherine Enis, University of Maryland, is the Cagigal lecturer for the 2006 AIESEP World Congress. This award is designed to honor an individual who ha achieved a high level of excellence in a particular field.
Other American keynote speakers include, Dr. Thom McKenzie of San Diego State University and Dr. Mary O'Sullivan, formerly of Ohio State University and currently at the University of Limerick, Ireland.
