Scooter tag!!! This game is played with the kids all sitting on a four wheeled scooter. There are four people in the middle of the gym on scooters with styrofoam sticks. Their job is to tag all of the other students who are wheeling around the room trying to get away. Students who have not been tagged can touch those that have been tagged to be freed. Game ends at a specific time or when the taggers get everyone out. It is fun but be aware of the safety precautions like fingers under wheels etc.

This is fun and hope it helps.

There is a game called Fort Knox that is fun. Here are the rules and information:
Objective: To collect all the gold from the other team
Equipment: Objects equally divided into 4 hoola hoops and cones to mark off the Fort Knox area at each hoop and pinnies
How to Play: Divide class into two equal teams
Safe Area: A team’s own side of the gym, the other teams Fort Knox, there is no time limit once in the safe zone. Only one foot needs to be over the line to be safe.
Offense: Try to invade the other team's Fort Knox and capture a bar of gold. A player may only possess one bar at a time.
try not to be tagged by the defense. If an offense player is tagged, they must immediately freeze and do jumping jacks or sit ups. They can be unfrozen by being tagged by a player on their team. If tagged while in possession of a bar of gold, player is frozen and must give up the gold.
Defense: Any defender of Fort Knox must remain 6 feet from the boundary. After tagging any player in possession of a bar of gold they should collect the gold and return it to their teams Fort Knox.
Students Tasks: Retrieve one or more gold bars. Tag a person who is in possession of gold and defrost a frozen runner.
Game ends when one team gets all the gold.
Hints: Make sure you tell the students they cannot take more than one object at a time or hide it. Also they cannot throw objects at any time. Do not allow students to "puppy guard' players while a student is frozen.(which means the defensive player can't stand guard over the student.
Safety: Run with your bumpers up and be cautious of other running students.
When you tag someone tag on the shoulder or back.
Don’t throw the objects.

I hope that the kids like it you can make any changes you would like. It is usually done in the gym.

there are many many options for kids at that age level. there are great resources both online and in books that can offer a variety activities. some good games are such things as steal the bean bags, bean bag toe tag and also a variety of tag games. i hope you can find some stuff they like more than capture the flag!
