1. Hoops For Heart Jan 31-Feb 4
2. A "Daily Brain Buzz" heart trivia question is read over the intercom during morning anouncements. The answer is given the next morning. Questions are from the NASPE fitness calendar for February.

I am looking for a Happy Healthy Heart Booklet for my K-2 elementary students. I have seen the one on PE Central. Does anyone have any other booklets or suggestions?

At Seldens Landing Elementary all students have a 3 lesson unit on Heart Healthy concepts. All the lessons teach heart concepts and physical activity through stations, circuits and games.

A great resource for heart month is the American Heart Association's Heart Power lesson plans.

This month all our lessons are related to the heart. We use HRM's, the Heart Adventure Course, etc. I always enjoy this month.

Any suggestions for a coaches challenge after a successful Jump Rope for Heart Event?
We have kissed pigs, shaved heads and will be slimed for a different fundraiser. We are looking for something bigger and better as we are challenging our students to raise $40,000!

Making an interactive bulletin board with hearts and how blood travels through with examples of cardio activities are good ideas.
