What are your thoughts on grading a student on their physical ability to perform a skill. For example, in grading the overhand throw,if the student steps with the wrong foot, do you give them a lower grade? |

At my school it is checked off as not being accomplished however our rubrics for their report card is achieving-able to do the skill independently of teacher help, developing - able to do the with minimal teacher help, and beginning - does skill with teacher help. I have some latitude if they can't do a specific skill. |
