Do you believe that having students use heart rate monitors as early as 1st or 2nd grade too soon ?

Yes, pushing a child to a target heart zone, is asking to much at that age. Instead have them put there hand on their heart before they do any physical activity. Have them do the same after the activity and explain to them the difference, and what is going on inside.
