Do you post all the students times, the top ten or a break off such as 9 seconds and faster for the 50 yd. dash?

My district has a track and field meet for all sixth grade students from each of the 7 elementary schools. It is an all day event. As results come in throughout the day, we announce the Top 6 over the stadium PA system and they are posted the next day in each of the schools. We post the Top 6 in each category/event. Boys and girls are separated, hence more ribbons are given out. In the event of a tie, we list the students names under the placement(ex: 3rd place John Doe and Joe Smith)and we continue with the 4th place winner.
During our next PE class after the meet, I spend time to highlight all achievements. For example, if a student did not place within the Top 6, but did have a personal best time or distance, we give them a silly cheer or applause to recognize them.

Our county has a field day for all children
8-11 years of age. We have four different
groups. Boys 8-9, boys 10-11 and girls 8-9 girls 10-11. So we give out lots of ribbons.
I have a field day at my school a few weeks before with the same events and my top 2 in each event go with me to the county field day.
We do the 80yd dash, 200 run 400 run 800 run
800 relay, 400 relay, a basketball shooting contest with point from different spots. Jumprope for a minute (most jumps) dribble a soccer ball through cones for time. Softball throw for distance and the shot put.

In elementary school, we had an all day track and field event. It was an exciting day that everyone looked foward to. Every student had to opportunity to participate in three events. At the end of the day, the teachers would provide ribbons for first through sixth place students. We would not say their names over the loud speaker, but we would go to their classrooms and congradulate them infront of their class mates. The Following Events were held:
50 m dash both boys and girls
100 m dash both boys and girls
400 m dash both boys and girls
100 m boys relay
100 m girls relay
50 m boys relay
50 m girls relay
1 mile run both boys and girls
obstical course both boys and girls
long jump both boys and girls
frisbee throw both boys and girls
softball throw both boys and girls

The event was more for team building and encouragement rather than competition.
