NASPE is happy to announce the release of the first PE Metrics book, a new assessment series which will provide a wide variety of assessment tasks to measure student success in physical education. The first book, Standard 1 Elementary, contains assessment tasks at the Grade K, 2, and 5 levels. It also contains a CD of the assessments so that the physical educator will always have a clean copy of the assessment. AND, it contains a Dartfish DVD of each assessment task showing the competent performance level and video vignettes of some common errors. These assessments are valid and reliable measures of student progress in achieving skills and movement patterns that are appropriate for the grade level. Every elementary level physical educator will want their own copy of the PE Metrics book as a teacher resource, as a tool for measurement, and as a template to develop future assessments at the school level. Order you own copy at the NASPE online store: http://iweb.aahperd.org/bookstore/
The title is: "PE Metrics: Assessing the National Standards - Standard 1 Elementary"
