I am curious, do any of your school districts have a seperate Health course in your Elementary buildings? We incorporate Health into our P.E., but do not have textbooks or a classroom to teach a seperate Health class. Any feedback from other schools in PA would be greatly appreciated!

I teach all classes (grades 1-3) PE twice a week (25 minutes) and then I also go into their classrooms once a week for health class (25 minutes). This is really not enough health time to do teaching, reviewing and assessing but it's what I have. I am using the Health and Wellness curriculum from Macmillan/McGraw-Hill.

We do not have any classroom time specifically for health class in elementary classes in Wisconsin... Instead we try to incorporate as much health as possible into the games that we play. We also do health/nutrition units so kids know that it is a serious part of what we stand for.
