PE is just as important as any other class in our school system. If you do not learn to be physically fit and eat right. The day will come where you die sooner than later. When that point comes you will not need proper english, because you will not be able to speak anyways. So I feel that PE is just a valuable as any other subject.

When I was growing up we had PE, music and art everyday. I think it is a very important part of education, and that children should not have to trade off on these areas. With children today being more obese and diabetic it is essential to keep them physically active and to teach them about proper nutrition. I understand that the goverment wants children to be literate and able to function in the world. However, you will find that most children are kinesthetic learners, and if they were in PE more often, they will learn more about other subjects as well (especially if you use integrated education).

I agree that P.E needs to be an everyday class. If we show children that subjects such as math, english and history need to be studied everyday while P.E. needs to be taken only a few times a week we are not leading them on a path to be physically active on a daily basis once they are finished with school.

I think that PE should be an everyday class also. There is too much technology today and kids are not playing outside as much as they should, instead they are playing video games.

I agree that PE should be an everyday class because it is just as important as english and math, which are mandatory everyday classes. PE gives the student time to be physically active and this is very important to leading a healthy life. We need to start pushing the subject that PE should be an everyday class and our society would have less obesity and more healthy individuals. Children just need the right initiative to participate in physical activities and by making PE an everyday class, more children will learn how important it really is!

My school district had phys ed class on two days of a six day rotation (i.e. you would have PE two days a week, but sometimes only once). I agree that PE should be everyday because it ensures that students are active at least for five days a week.

If we are considering what ACSM says about physical activity for health, students need to be active for a least every day of the week. Unfortunately, there is not enough time in most PE classes for these children to raise their HR where it should be for the maximum benefit. Therefore, removing PE from any day of the week should not be where the school saves time.

I also agree that P.E. should be everyday and I think some schools are moving in the right direction in making P.E. everyday or atleast most of the days. In high shcool I had P.E. only two days a week until my junior year. We could either choose to take swim class everyday or P.E. everyday and I chose to take P.E. I think if students are given the choice of the type of physical activity they are most interested in, then maybe more students will be active.
