Should the mile run be required in PE class? If so what age ranges is it appropriate for, and should it be graded based on how long it takes the student?

I dont think that the mile run should be required for PE classes. There are different ways to test for cardiovascular endurance. You could do the Pacer test. No it should not be graded on how long the student takes.

Thanks for responding, in my high school we were required for the fitness test and were graded on our final time
