I enjoy playing review games with my students prior to a test. I believe that this helps them prepare for and exam. I switch the games up between jeopardy and wheel of fortune. I have collegues that do not think that playing reveiw games is beneficial to the students. What do you think? If you do play reveiw games what types of games do you play?

I think review games are beneficial to those students who use it to their advantage. Usually, review game questions are taken from test questions, so if a student were so incline, they could learn all the test questions. Not only this, it gives the students an entertaining way to test their knowledge of the content and find out just where they are in regards to being prepared for the upcoming test. Also, if the teacher wraps up the game at the end of class with a Q&A for the students, I believe it will help the students prepare for the test.

I think review games are a great idea! Do you use them in PE and Health? or just one area? I've done them in Health, but would be interested in what you use in PE. It is a definite way to help prepare for future testing instead of just plain reviewing!!
