My neice and nephew are both at the elementry level and i have noticed how unhealthy there school lunches are. The school has rrecently recieved pop machines and other options for beverages include milk, and orange drink. Why dont all the kids get water? Also why do the kids get served fatty lunches such as pizza friday's and spaghetti thursday? why arent these children getting whole wheat bread or fruit instead of carbs? Shouldnt this be a major issue especially when childhood obesity is at its highest and doctors are noticing cases of type II diabetes in chidren?

I agree 100%. I have noticed at schools that I had visited in past years how unhealthy the food is. It should be brought to everyone’s attention that eating unhealthy could cause serious health problems in later years. The sooner this serious issue is addressed and more healthier alternatives are added to schools cafeteria’s, we will all lead happier and healthier lives.
