We have to start teaching health in our P.E. classes this year but I only see students one day a week. I want them to move as much as possible. Any ideas on how to get kids moving and also teach health?

There are a number of ways to incorporate health into P.E. One resource that is great for elementary level students is the Physical Best Activity Guide. There are a bunch of fitness related activities that also incorporate health topics such as the heart, the digestive system, muscles, etc.

Perhaps take 1/3 of your class time to talk about health would be beneficial.
