When I was in high school, I could not stand the Health aspect of the so called 'gym class.' My peers and I did not care to learn about anything related to Health; it simply was not interesting. We were more excited about being active then sitting in a class room. I feel this is still how kids are today. They do not take the time to understand what is a healthy lifestyle.

What are the best ways to get across to high school students the importance of health? Reading out of a book never seems to work. Are there more fun, active ways to teach health so students will want to learn about healthy lifestyles? Can we incorporate cognitive thinking with psychomotor activity to help teach health?
