Do you think the sending of fake babies mimicking real babies home with students is a good idea? I took one home and this baby cried forever but all I had to do was a either change its cloth diaper or feed it and it would stop. The older versions would turn off by the turning of a key. How is that real? I think they are a slight eye opener for students but they are nothing like a real baby. If only I could turn my nephew off by turning a key...

I really do not know if it is a good idea or not. When I teach teen pregnancy in 10th grade health they always ask if they are going to get the babies. They seem interested but I am not sure of the benefit. Instead I have my students complete a baby budget project, because they all are worried about money and having things.
