With obesity on the rise in the United States, I believe it is absolutely necessary to teach the importance of healthy eating early in a child's life. Kids can give the argument that they have fast metabolism's at a young age and can eat whatever they want. This should never be the case, because developing early eating habits in a child's life only sets them up for success in the future. As future educators we need to help students fight this obesity epidemic and give them the necessary tools to do so. Should a healthy lifestyle be taught to elementary aged students?
