Obesity is becoming an ever growing problem in the U.S. As physical educators we should be promoting more life long PA. Most schools have a swim unit, however, this is usually just a time that the students can do whatever they please as long as they are in the water. Teachers should use this opportunity to actually take the time and teach different strokes, and give insensitive for students to want to participate. How can we promote swimming in schools programs when most students don't want to swim, and won't put forth the effort?
