In the elementary and middle schools I attended in Harrisburg, PA I remember doing the Presidential Fitness Challenge. Ours consisted of the mile run, sit ups, pull ups, flexed arm hang, and the sit and reach. By the time I got to high school though we only did the mile run. I was wondering what experiences others have had with the Presidential Fitness program. Is it effective? Should it only be used for a specific grade level? Any input is appreciated. Thanks!
