I come from Ireland and we currently we don't have a system where we evaluate our PE students. In my teaching practice school the PE teacher recorded the students scores in various events and gave them all "superstar" points. 1 point for last place 2 for second last etc. These scores were posted continually over the 5 years the students were in the school. Is this system too degrading for the students in the lower positions? Or is it worthwhile as a motivational tool?
