Welcome to the NASPE Forum hosted by PELINKS4U in cooperation with Sportime. NASPE forum is a discussion board for professionals in physical education, sport, and fitness.

NASPE Forum is intended to complement NASPE-Talk the daily emailed listserv. The daily listserv is your best way to stay current with the latest professional news, learn about current issues, and pose questions to others in the profession. NASPE Forum offers a convenient way to discuss topics in depth with others who share similar interests.

NASPE forum is divided into several different topic sections. Each section is then subdivided into sub-topics focused on specific issues. NASPE-Forum is easy to use and a great location for catching up on topics previously discussed. You can also use the forum to begin extended discussions on new topics.

NASPE-Forum replaces the PE Forum originally located on PELINKS4U. As you will see we have retained some of the postings from the original forum.

Registration as a NASPE-Forum user is not required. You can simply post anonymously. However, registration does offer several advantages. One of the best features is the ability to indicate if you would like to receive an email notification of new posts to topics you select. For example, if you are an elementary school physical educator perhaps you only want to hear of postings to the Elementary PE section. You can do this if you register. Registration is free and your personal information is confidential. Here are some other advantages of registering as a user:

To obtain a user account, contact a moderator or use the 'Profile' link in the top menu to create an instant account. Once your profile is created, edit your profile. Make sure you enable cookies, and clear cookies, under the 'Preferences' option in order to post as a registered user. The forum will recognize you as a registered user this way.

You are welcome to read or post under all folders. Please give the forum a try. If you’d like to see how simple the NASPE-Forum is to use, you should post something under the "Test Messages" folder.

If you are new to the NASPE-Forum you might want to check out the Help link at the top of this page. Once you're comfortable with the format of the board, read the Getting Started and Formatting sections on the Help page for information on how to customize your posts.

The moderator for the NASPE-Forum is Paula Summit , a physical educator from New York State and the 2004-2005 NYS AHPERD President. Paula will be responsible for ensuring that messages are appropriate in content and also put in the best location.

Thank you very much for participating in the NASPE-Forum. Please feel free to contact Paula (psummit@rochester.rr.com) or the PELINKS4U Staff (pelinks@pelinks4u.org) with any problems or suggestions for NASPE-Forum improvements.
